Fulfilling Planning Requirements for Contamination in Epping Forest District

At Sequoia Environmental, we undertake a lot of work within Epping Forest. The area of the district to the north of the M25 is quite rural, and in the last few years, developers have benefitted from Permitted Development rights to convert existing buildings to residential use. However, these properties can often form part of farmyards, commercial or ex-military land and therefore routinely attract planning conditions for contamination.

We often get asked why these conditions have been added and what information needs to be submitted in order to comply with them. To make things easier, we’ve distilled all our experience down into a two-page leaflet, which you can view and download below. The document also contains links to Epping Forest District Council’s planning pages where you can find further information on the process.
