DESK STUDY

A Phase 1 Desk Study should be the first stage in any Environmental Assessment.  This work is usually a pre-planning requirement on sites where the potential for contamination exists or that have a proposed sensitive end use (i.e. residential).  A Desk Study is often a standard requirement for lenders and warranty providers who are becoming increasingly aware of potential liabilities associated with brownfield sites.
